Bienvenidos a Argentina

September 1, 2011
We arrived! The flight was good, the food better than expected. We had no trouble with customs, and passport control didn't even ask why we were here. The taxi from the airport was flat-rate; the driver was a little crazy as all taxi drivers are, and we discovered that the red lights turn orange before green here, which we like.

In our weather projections we forgot to check the low temperature, so expecting 60°F, we arrived to the morning 40°F wearing shorts and T-shirts. (Note to readers: future temperatures on this trip will be in Celsius.)

We're in our first-month apartment now, papers signed, thick wads of dollar cash handed over. We're going to put on warmer clothes now and head out for food, grocery shopping, and neighborhood exploration.
